The cheese-tasting will take place on the first floor of a cheese store near the Central Station in Amsterdam. The cheese-tasting room is designed to take you back to Amsterdam as it was more than a hundred years ago.

The cheeses will be sampled along with a number of specially selected wines that best complement each one. To cleanse your palette between tasting one cheese and the next, there is some fig bread and water.

a great way to spend a hour while in Amsterdam , we were give 5 different cheeses to taste , and were told a little bit about each cheese and the region they came from there was also 3 wines to taste with the cheeses 2 white and 1 red we were also given a small booklet each which told us about the cheeses we were tasting , to make it a bit more interesting , the cheese taster held a small quiz at the end with the winner receiving a small prize if you like cheese and wine , then you will enjoy doing this cheese and wine tasting

A nice hour spent learning about how cheese is made and learning how to pare cheese. The instructor recommended a lot of additional activities as well.

We had so much fun learning about how cheese is made, the different types of Dutch cheese, and of course sampling the cheese and wine. The gal who lead the tasting was spirited and lively and you could tell she had quite a bit of knowledge and input to provide. A really fun activity to book while in Amsterdam!
