The villages of Lahich and Demirchi are located in the high mountains of the Caucasus and are famous for their craftsmen. For decades, the people who lived there were transforming copper, iron, silver and gold to beautiful knives, blades, jars and jewelry. Beautiful architecture, picturesque nature and historical places make these villages one of the must visit places in Azerbaijan.

By joining our tour, you will be picked up from your place early in the morning. Our first destination will be Demirchi village. While enjoying your ride in our comfortable “euro5” standard transport with air – condition and all seat belts, our English speaking driver and guide at the same time, will tell you interesting stories about the city and cite. Passing through Shamakhi city we will continue our way to the mountains. Before reaching Demirchi we will make a stop Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory. More information about this place you can find here. At last we reach Demirchi village. Here you can observe locals which are working hard in local workshops and transforming pieces of metal into beautiful handworks. Strolling through the main street you can have a cup of tea or coffee and purchase some souvenirs.

Going more to the mountains will take us to famous Lahich village. On the way to Lahich we will reach highest point of our journey, 2090 m. above sea level.

City styled village Lahich, which is in the Ismailli region and is a culture-history reserve, is on the touristic route of Great Silk Way.

Once upon a time famous craftsmen and traders, now living by making interesting souvenirs and creating ethnic craft shops inside village. As soon as you enter the village you are teleporting to 15th century. Antic dresses, all kind of metal works, conserved buildings and streets and even life style will astonish you.

The tour is going on all day long. After the tour our driver will take you back to the meeting place, or any other place in Baku.
