Mutianyu Great Wall

It's about 20 minutes driving distance from Xiangshuihu to Mutianyu Great Wall. As you may know, this is one of the most famous sections of Great Wall. Besides hiking, you also can choose to take cable car up and down at Tower 14, or you can chairlift up and toboggan down at Tower 6. Of course, the second option is more exciting. You will spend total 1.5hours time here.

Stop At: Great Wall at Huanghuacheng, 60 km (37 miles) N of Beijing, Beijing 102209 China

It's about 1.5 hours driving distance from downtown Beijing to Huanghuacheng Great Wall, which is with long stood out among the Great Wall for its uniqueness and rare beauty. Moreover, Huanghuacheng has long been the most frequent subject of photography lovers.

It only takes about 20 minutes to reach this un-restored Great Wall upon arrival. You can hike around 1.5 hours on the Wall.

Stop At: Huairou Xiangshuihu Great Wall Scenic Resort, Bohai Town, West of Mutian Yu Great Wall, Huairou District, Beijing 101405 China

Xiangshuihu Great Wall

It's about 40 minutes driving distance from Huanghuacheng to Xiangshuihu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall is with a unique geographical location and most beautiful natural landscapes. It is undoubtedly the most significant attraction for in China. It's built near by a dam, but the dam has been dried up long time ago. Now in the bottom of the dam grows lush dense woods. Against the green landscape, it becomes exceptionally beautiful. Once you get on the Wall here, you can walk around for 1 hour on the great wall to enjoy the beautiful surrounding.

This trip was even better than anticipated! Sam from Loe's tours in Beijing was an excellent driver. He actually guided us on our first leg of this adventure. My grandson and I had the best experience on this tourist free section of the wall. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get off the beaten path and get a feel for the more touristy section of the wall. The bobsled ride down at the end was fantastic.
