Since many of the sites are no longer there, the guide's ability to paint a picture is key on this tour. Mort, our energetic elder-guide, has a relevant and extensive personal history that made this tour very interesting.
Excellent tour one of the best we've been on, our guide Gregor was brilliant very knowledgeable he made the whole experience very enjoyable,I would highly recommend it - absolutely 5*
A somber place to visit but worth the experience. If you get Campbell as your guide, you will be lucky because he is superb and his knowledge of the site amazing!!!
There are tours and then there are tours hosted by Jess!!! 10/10, excellent, superb etc. Jess set the scene and used all his historical knowledge of both the development of National Socialism and antisemitism in central Europe to deliver a simply superb walking tour. I did the tour with 15 year old son, who is due to take his GCSE History exam next year, he loved the tour and Jess pure love for history was really inspiring for my son. If you can take any of the tours delivered by Jess you are in for a treat.
An essential tour for those interested in history.
One of the best tours I have been on, our tour guide Kai was a fabulous. Be prepared for lots of walking easy walking
Really fascinating tour and top class tour guide. Would highly recommend.
Very, very good tour from an extremely knowledgeable and professional historian guide, Kevin. Thoroughly recommended
The trip was as advertised and hence no complaints. No fault of the organisers but subtracting from the overall experience hence the 4 stars is the absence of the actual sites being referred to. Obviously, they have all been razed and not a single item remains from that gory past. So everything has to be imagined the way it was, from the words of the guide. Here, the role of Jonathan, our guide, has to be highlighted. He was excellent as he had very good knowledge of the tour and added many tidbits of his own, connecting elements from the past with today, asking us all to feel rather than just see. That was pretty unique because you then really pay attention to some of the details that you would surely have missed. It is his super effort that really raises the tour to 4 star levels. Its good for those that are largely ignorant of that sad period but for those who have been following this since long like I have been, the content was a bit short. Maybe they should have a Third Reich Advanced tour!! But like I said earlier, no complaints and rate this tour well enough for anyone to take it.
