This was a disgrace - there is no such thing as a tour of the Suez Canal - the whole experience was a sham. Luckily we had been forewarned by another tour operator in Cairo that there is no access to the Suez Canal only a ferry across BUT THAT DIDNT HAPPEN maybe. We were first shown the Red Sea and told this is the Suez Canal, so after discarding this we were taken to some Hotel and taken to the 6th Floor and told to look out the window and there was the Suez Canal and we can't getting any closer as it is a military Zone - should have told us that before we left Australia. Then Lunch - as it was the Feast Festival a large number of places were closed so we were taken to a half star restaurant - which we are sure caused a severe case of gastroenteritis the following day. The trip back to Cairo was another thing, in a car which would be lucky to pass rego in Australia, we were transported at speeds of 170-180 kph. So all in all a harrowing experience and should be reported to a Tourist Authority as a SCAM
