Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Sigiriya

Stop At: Ancient City of Sigiriya, Sigiriya Site between the towns of Dambulla and Habarane, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
You will be met and warmly greeted by your personal chauffeur guide at the Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport and driven to Sigiriya (Approx. 4 hours drive).

Spend Overnight in Sigiriya. Accommodation is a three star hotel or similar grade on bed & breakfast basis.
Duration: 4 hours

Day 2: Visit Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya

Stop At: Polonnaruwa Sri Lanka
Morning : Visit The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa (UNESCO world heritage site) with approx. 2 hours drive.
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Ancient City of Sigiriya, Sigiriya Site between the towns of Dambulla and Habarane, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
Afternoon: Climb the famous Sigiriya rock fortress and visit rocky abode and water gardens, an UNESCO world heritage and one of the Wonders of the World).

Day 3: Visit Dambulla and Kandy

Stop At: Dambulla Cave Temple, Jaffna Hwy, Habarana 50150 Sri Lanka
Morning: Visit the Cave temple of Dambulla (UNESCO world heritage site), a batik factory and a spice garden where you can see the best spices in Sri Lanka.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
Afternoon: You will do the city tour of Kandy including a visit to the temple of the sacred tooth relic.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Kandy Lake, Centre of Kandy City, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
You will also do an upper lake drive and visit market square, gem lapidary and more

Spend Overnight in Kandy. Accommodation is a three star hotel or similar grade on bed & breakfast basis.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance show, 7 , Sangamittha Mawatha, Kandy 20000, Sri Lanka
Enjoy a cultural show at one of the theaters in Kandy city.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 4: Visit Botanical gardens and Tea Plantations

Stop At: Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya Road, Peradeniya 20400 Sri Lanka
Morning: Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden, one of the best botanical gardens in Asia.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Ramboda Waterfall, Pussellawa Sri Lanka
Visit Ramboda waterfalls and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Pedro Tea Factory, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
On completion of this visit, you will be driven to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a tea plantation and tea factory where the best tea in the world is produced.

Day 5: Enjoy a City tour of Nuwara Eliya and drive to Colombo

Very good introduction to the multitude of sights and experiences that Sri Lanka offers--from ancient ruins to Buddhist temples, large expanses of botanical gardens and breathtaking views of the country's tea plantations. We had an excellent driver and informative guides. With the exception of Kassapa Lion's Rock in Sigiriya, the other accommodations were not a great but tolerable. I would have advised the tour website to offer some kind of warning though as to how much walking or climbing would be involved in each activity.

This was an excellent tour. Out guide, Cristo, was superb and made the trip thoroughly enjoyable.
