Full Day Tour to The Rainbow Mountain from Cusco by Horse

Well organized, this tour was the easiest way to find a beautiful place on Peruvian land. We couldt have the briefing the day before that included an Andean Blessing, because we arrived late in the evening. It was meant to be an interesting part of our experience, and we felt a little disapointed we had to miss it. As for the briefing, along the way to the Rainbow Mountain, our guide Renato from local agency Travel and Healing explained us everything we need to know, including information about the local culture and some safety precautions. Then we had breakfast at a local country house, with a friendly lady that cooked us good food - the same place we had lunch later, in our way back to Cusco. We loved all the experiences, from the local food to the horse ride, in the midle of a beautiful landscape, with the altitude has the extra challenge. Luckly we had the horses, even if sometimes we needed to get down - to let the animal rest, and then when we arrived at the end of the horse trail the last part of the way was too steep. It really was a challenge, because we had almost no acclimatation, so we climbed slowly, with Renato always watching us, always encouraging. And we felt very good when we reached the top, where we faced all the majesty and solitude of that magic place! It was a happy day, color contrasts everywhere, and I came down the mountain smiling and wishing that day would never end.
