Start your day with a pickup from your Fez accommodations at 9:00am. Then, head out to explore the ancient imperial city of Meknes, known as the "Versailles of Morocco". See historical sites such as the impressive ramparts, monumental gates, and the Mausoleum Moulay Ismail. At its peak of glory, Meknes had over 50 palaces, 20 doors, and a city wall that measured around 45km.
Next, visit Volubilis, an areas consisting of impressive and well-preserved Roman ruins, not to mention spectacular mosaics. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most important Roman sites in North Africa. Travel through the holy city of Moulay Idriss, perched dramatically against the slope of Mount Zerhon, and immerse yourself in the dramatic landscape of Morocco. Break for lunch whenever you prefer and at the end of your tour, head back to Fez.

A good day trip to the Roman ruins of Volubilis and Meknes. Volubilis was really great and enjoyed it a lot. Driver Yousef from Fez Day Trip was adequate, and did his job well
I had a great time learning about the history of Volubilis and Meknes, with Volubilis being my favorite. Even though it seemed like the guide was included based on viator's site, when I arrived in Volubilis, they tried to charge me another 22-23 dollars to have someone show me around. I fought against this because the viator site said a driver/guide was included. It took some pressure, but they finally relented to providing a guide. This seems to be part of the Moroccan way, but I recommend fixing this issue for future travelers. The cites are really great to see!
The driver/guide and the private tour guides at the sites exceeded my expectations I am very pleased with the tour and would use this company again! Great work!
