Its a shame that I have forgotten the name of our amazing tour guide but he was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and knew the island so well. Honestly, it felt like we saw the whole island in one day. I would recommend this tour to everyone. So, worth the money.
The trip is very comprehensive, most of the half west side of the island, mountain valleys, levadas, waterfalls, city, nice stops good food, lots of beauties for the eye to enjoy, especially if you are a nature lover, the tour is nicely organized and you get to see many places, very nice guide, very nice tour.highly recommend it
Western Maderia tour. It was a good way of seeing the island micro climates, but it was a bit long. We made some stops that I don't think were necessary for 5 minute photo ops. Our tour guide Nunu was good and knew his stuff, but near the end it was becoming a bit boring.
The tour included a wide range of visits to small towns and scenic areas in the countryside. The guide was attentive to our requests and worked to make sure we had sufficient time at each stop while keeping the tour moving so we could cover a large number of items in a reasonable amount of time.
The itinerary for this trip was excellent and gave a very good overview of the sights in western Madeira. Porto Moniz was amazing with its crashing surf and the high pass at Encumeada should not be missed. Our guide/driver was knowledgeable and personable. However, as the last person picked up on the tour, I had a last row middle seat and so missed both a lot of views and a lot of what the guide was saying. With a different seat this would have been a very different tour for me.
A great day out seeing the sights of the Best of the West in Madeira. Gama (nickname) was our guide for the day and was exceptionally concerned for our safety and took good care of us. It would have been nice to have had some more time at Cabo Girao and Ribeira Brava, otherwise it was a great day to see what Madeira has to offer.
Viators!!! As always, well organised easy to book full day value!!! Weather wasnt great but who can improve the weather. Guide was well informed and altered the route to suit the adverse rainy cloudy day. All in all, weather apart, a lovely excursion.
Very interesting trip!
