Your tour begins at the prearranged time in the morning or afternoon with a pickup from your hotel or the cruise ship port. With your private group, board the air-conditioned minivan and drive about 15 minutes to the parish of Canico,.

Visit Garajau, where you will find Ponta do Garajau, a promontory where the statue of Cristo Rei (Christ the Redeemer) is situated. The 49-foot (15-meter) statue was erected in 1927, predating the more famous version in Rio de Janeiro by four years.

Next, visit the city of Santa Cruz and its Praia das Palmeiras, a busy beach with distinct rock formations.

Next, head to Santo da Serra, home to Santo da Serra Golf Club, considered one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe.

Your last stop is at Ponta de São Lourenço located on the far east of the island, to soak up the sweeping views of the north and south coast of the island.

Your tour ends with a drop off to your hotel in Funchal or the port if you are going back to your cruise ship.
