Afternoon Hanoi City tour with Cyclo ride at old quarter

After being picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter around 2pm, you will visit the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam, which was originally a place honoring Confucius and today celebrating the doctorates and excellent scholars of Vietnam. Or you might choose one of the museums in Hanoi – Hilton Hanoi, Military museum, Museum of History…).

 

Then you will move to the West Lake and pay a visit to the oldest pagoda in Hanoi with its history line of more than 1,500 years - Tran Quoc Pagoda. There, you will see symbols of Buddhism such as: Statuettes of lotus flowers, eightfold wheel (wheel of Dharma) and the Bodhi tree.

 

After that, you can visit Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Restored Sword) associated with the legendary restore the spirit sword for the Golden Turtle, Ngoc Son Temple (Temple of the Jade Mountain) which was built on the Jade Islet and dedicated to Confucian and Taoist philosophers and the national hero, Tran Hung Daol, The Huc Bridge which is an indispensable part of Ngoc Son Temple and well-known as “the bridge where light is absorbed”. 

Next, you will also visit Ma May ancient house at 87 Ma May street within Hanoi Old Quarter. This house was built at the late of the 20th century, is quite intact with typical architecture of ancient houses.

 

Then, you will take a cyclo ride tour around the Old Quarter to explore the exciting local daily life of Hanoians.

 

You will end your tour with a cup of coffee or tea at an authentic Hanoi corner cafe where you can have lovely conversation with local people, exchange cultural way of life.

 

Finally, you will go back to your hotel. The trip ends around 6 pm.
