The sites we saw on this tour seemed real and authentic. That made it very special. I can't remember our guides name but he said he was married to an American. He was full of information but not really as entertaining as some other guides we had. Wish we hadn't had to walk back to Old City Jerusalem. We are in our 70's. It was a long walk
Our guide Alex was absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgeable, kind and answered all questions. The tour goes to all key venues.
The shuttle was 1/2 hour late for pick up and we were not on the list, which means we didn’t get on the bus. The driver told us that another shuttle will pick us up in 15 minutes and 30 minutes gone by, no shuttle. I had to called Fun Time and find out what the deal is, it took a while for the lady to fin my confirmation. She then told me someone will pick us up in 10-15 minutes. Another half hour gone by and no one showed up, I called the lady again and she says 5-10 minutes someone will come. This time it was already 9:10 am and we were supposed to be picked up at 7:45 am. I told the lady if we’re not getting picked up by 9:30 am then I will cancelled my booking. There was also another couple with us who was in the same situation. Finally someone came and he was confused about this situation as we all were. The driver was nice and we were able to meet with the first bus that left without us. Trip itinerary was fine, disappointed that we didn’t get to go to the cave in Bethlehem to see the star where Jesus was born due to a long line. All in all, our driver was fantastic ( forgot his name), victor and Fun time needs to better their communications and networks for future tours to avoid this WAIT and so called miscommunication.
It was perfect in my case to finish my tour of the Holy Land. Thanks to the guide Yoni Dinur, willing to resolve concerns. Suggestion: It is important to include in the tour file that it ends at Mary's tomb and that from there we must return on our behalf and that the entrances to the Garden of Gethsemane and the chapel of the assumption are not included in the cost.
The Jerusalem Three Religions Mount of Olives Walking Tour was excellent. Our guide (Liran) was very knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive. As a teacher, I appreciated his approach. He started the tour by having us sit in a shaded place and then he shared a visual timeline of Jerusalem, as well, as an illustrated book that showed the various eras and physical changes to Jerusalem. We had a family from Brazil with us. Only one of them was a fluent English speaker. He asked Liran if it would be distracting for him to translate for the rest of the family as he spoke. Liran said that it would be no trouble at all, and he was very careful to be sure that this man had time to translate as we went along. Liran was very patient and answered all my questions, and I learned so much. He was very enthusiastic about his subject matter, and I honestly think it was the best tour I have ever been on. Thank you Liran!
If you have a few days in Jerusalem I would highly recommend this tour. It explains the history but also the future, e.g. the coming of the Messiah from a Jewish, Christian and Muslim theological perspective. Guide was very good and prompt.
This was an excellent way to start touring Jerusalem because it provides an really helpful overview of the Old City. Our guide, Matthew, was very well informed and had lots of great tips. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
Tthis was a great tour with a knowledgeable commentary on the religious history and lives of the various chuches and shrines on Mount of Olives. Our guide was great, giving knowledge with humor. He did a great job comparing and contrasting the three religions - - Christian including Orthodox, Judaism, and Islam. Highly recommended.
Great tour. The way to go if you want to see the Mount of Olives. You need to bring money for entrance fees to some of the churches.
