Lisätietoja aktiviteetista
While you’re in port in Marseille, make the most of your time in the south of France by discovering Aix-en-Provence on this private shore excursion. After port pickup, enjoy a scenic drive north to Aix-en-Provence, a magnificent city founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC. Admire the city’s rich architecture while walking along Cours Mirabeau, a famous promenade lined with 19th-century buildings, cafes and shops once frequented by historical figures like Albert Camus.
Head toward the Place du Général de Gaulle with its spectacular fountain. Witness the mix of water and art with a visit to the 17th-century Four Dolphins Fountain sculpture and the Place d’Albertas fountain, whose basin was made by local students. Other spectacular sights to see in this lively city are City Hall and the Cathédral Saint-Sauveur d'Aix, offering unique impressions of Aix-en-Provence's preserved heritage, with buildings dating back to the 12th century!
Afterwards, you’ll get the exclusive opportunity to visit the atelier of locally born artist Paul Cézanne (at your own expense) and attend a workshop at Les Lauves. See inside the small pavilion that served as the work space for Cézanne’s masterpieces.
Your private guide will show you around the most stunning places in Aix-en-Provence while providing you with informative and captivating tales. After your 4-hour private tour, enjoy a relaxing drive by private vehicle back to the cruise ship port.

This was a wonderful tour. It felt like we got behind the curtain to see an authentic living history. Our tour guide showed us intimate details and kept it all interesting. When one of our party had a serious medical event, our guide immediately recognized the problems and called in the EMTs. She then helped us all to mitigate our anxieties and modified the excursion so it was most memorable.
Absolutely everything I thought a small town in France should be! We booked the tour last minute and our guide was waiting with a sign when we left our ship. He was so friendly and even complimented my French! He Waked with us and pointed out interesting thins along the way! Tres Bon!!
Our tour guide was friendly and informative - and very patient when our tour members wanted to shop! Enjoyed the tour and wish we could have spent longer. Sadly the tour operator did not contact the guide about the earlier pickup time we could have managed.. The guide could have come earlier, but didn't know about the request
Wonderful trip. A beautiful city. Our guide was excellent. Would have like another day or so there.
My group was totally thrilled with this excursion. Maria was a fabulous guide and aix-en-Provence was beautiful. We arrived early I the morning and there were few tourists there which was great. As well as their usual market there was a crafts market set up with fabulous hand crafted merchandise and we lucked into a "period costume" parade. I would recommend this excursion and viator.
Very enjoyable excursion from our ship. Aix-en-Provence is a lovely old town to visit.
