Continue the drive through the picturesque western volcanic plains, passing through the town of Moyston, the birthplace of Australian Rules Football.
Arrive at the foot of the Grampians Range known as Gariwerd in the local Jardwadjali language and immerse yourself in the Australian bush with a gentle stroll to the delightful Silverband Falls.
Continue to the township of Halls Gap for lunch. Keep an eye open for the local kangaroos and the abundant birdlife that can be seen in the main street. Stunning panoramas await at Reeds Lookout that overlooks the towering Stringybark Forest and Victoria Valley

Our guide Leah was really nice and very informative. The best part of this whole trip is definitely the hike we did at the Grand Canyon loop. It's not a very easy hike and can be quite tiring so I wouldn't recommend it for older people. The waterfalls we saw on this trip was also very beautiful. Because we went in winter, we also got the opportunity to see some kangaroos close up at the oval. The whole experience was just generally very wonderful! Would definitely recommend this to those who love the outdoors and some light hiking.
This tour is perfectly planned, from the well-chosen playlist to the coffee breaks and lunch (included in the price!) and the many attractions with (usually) different routes people can take to reach them, depending on fitness level. It's also great that it's a small tour, allowing for individualised attention (our guide was always offering to take everyone's photos) and making it easy for everything to be on time (only one person was late for 1 minute the entire day). I can't think of a better introduction to the Grampians and if you're lucky enough to get Kathryn as a guide it's guaranteed to be the best day trip ever!
We took this tour recently and loved it. It is a long day but is well worth it. Our guide/driver was Leah and she was really pleasant and obliging. We had a number of stops along the way and saw some beautiful scenery, along with emus, wallabies, kangaroos, cockatoos, rosellas, a kookaburra and others. We arrived back in Melbourne around 9 pm having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely recommend it.
Great small bus tour. Picnic lunch. Various walks not too strenuous and the guide Phil was very good and kept us all amused on the road trip to the Gramps and back. Pickup and drop off at the hotel too. A stop for dinner on the way back at a chippy at own expense made a good break in the journey back. Must be Phils aunty in the chippy!! Some fantastic photo opportunities on this trip so dont forget your camera.
Despite the really lousy weather, this was a great tour. Our driver/guide, Chris, was outstanding. I chose this tour to learn more of the history of the area and to explore parts of Australia I had not yet seen. It did not disappoint. I am sure the scenic views, as stunning as they were, would have been even more spectacular without the rain. But the sheer numbers of kangaroos in the wild did not disappoint! If I could change anything it would be where we had lunch. It is obviously a popular spot and much too busy to accommodate the number of visitors especially in inclement weather, and the food was just so so.
We enjoyed the Grampians National Park Tour tremendously! The guide was on point since the pick up at the hotel. He gave up tips and a little history about Melbourne while driving. The tour includes breakfast and lunch, this is a whole day tour so we bought extra food at the lunch stop. Thank you!
One of the less popular tourist attractions but definitely my favourite so far. Gorgeous scenery, several different stops with hikes and lookouts and waterfalls. The weather wasn't great for us but worked in our favour as we got most of the lookouts and hikes to ourselves. Tour guide knew his stuff and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know everyone on the tour. Highly recommend this tour!
A great tour with a knowledgeable guide. The journey to and from the Grampians give a sense of how vast Australia is. The Grampians have a majestic beauty with some breathtaking views. A little more could be made of the Ballarat element.
