Romantic Road and Rothenburg: Day Trip from Munich
Traveling along the Romantic Road, your first stop will be Harburg, one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved castles in Southern Germany, completed in the late 11th century. Wonderfully preserved, the castle sits high on a hill and overlooks the town for which it's named. Visit the Harburg Castle and step back into the Middle Ages!
Continuing along through Swabian crater landscape, the tour will pass Dinkelsbühl and arrive in Rothenburg, the most perfectly preserved medieval town in Europe. Wander through its narrow streets being enchanted by the reminders of the past times! You will have enough time for sightseeing, lunch and even shopping.
On your way back to to Munich, you will have a chance to marvel at the beauty of the Hallertau, the largest hop-growing region in the world.
