French Gourmet Cuisine: Dinner and Wine Pairing

A very pleasant experience. The dinner was very good and the wine pairing was certainly on spot. The staff was both knowledgeable and friendly. Some of the wines were unknown to us beforehand so we also learned something. All portions, both wine and food, were generous.

Good, but not great. What we loved: the ambiance was lovely...candlelight...fairly quiet...intimate... the dessert was WONDERFUL crêpes au grand marnier with red currants, blueberries and strawberries the originally offered appetizer did not work for me and the waiter graciously offered other options. What we didn't like: the main course was just good. I am glad we tried this but I wouldn't do that again. The restaurant is Ô Chateau. I am hardly a wine connoisseur, so I can't comment on wine selection. It was nice to experiment with wine, however, for those who do understand, here is what was offered: Domaine Barmes-Buecher's Rosenberg wine from Alsace, Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette's Languedoc, and Domaine Hubert et Lignier's Bourgogne Aligote.

A lovely dinner with attentive service and a little education about wine selection thrown in.

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris!

Very authentic serving of meet and wine in real Parisian wine bistro. Perfect match of tasty food and very tasty wine both red and white. Good choice for friends and family celebrating.

Nice evening in a somewhat cozy restaurant. The wine pairings were good except for the last wine with the desert. Not so great. The meal and service were both very good and we all sent our plates back clean. Food was prepared as requested which was nice. I think we all expected a bit different menu but it was all good and a fun evening out

Undesirable. Everything was better. The place the did the wine just everything. Highly recommended its been 2 yrs and i still remember out line it was yesterday!!!

Excellent!!! Excellent! Excellent meal! We started with a delicious glass of champagne. Thinly sliced salmon starter, wine. The entree: Rib-eye steak with small potatoes, creamed celery/potatoes , wine. Dessert..wine....fabulous! We were stuffed! This is the best tour for a foodie...come hungry!
