We have great relationships with some of the best winemakers in the region, and with this insider knowledge the itinerary for each tour is thoughtfully crafted to ensure our guests get the best possible experience, each and every day. Often this means that you may get access to experiences that are not available to the general public.

Guaranteed small group sizes (max. 12 people) also mean that Up Close and Local Tours have access to wineries that won't accommodate the big tour buses - so you get away from the crowds and off the regular beaten tourist path for a more intimate and one-on-one tasting experience. All of the wineries we visit are family owned, and are personally hand-picked by us for their quality winemaking skills, as well as their historical significance to the region – and obviously because they have some excellent wines for you to taste!

This is an ‘all inclusive’ tour – with all wine tastings included in your tour price (including reserve and award winning wines), plus a gourmet platter lunch with a glass of Swan Valley wine and exclusive behind the scenes experiences.

You will have the chance to sample well over 50 wines throughout the day - everything from a Verdelho to a Durif to a Muscat. Most of the wines you will try are produced small batch, so the only place you can find them is at the cellar door. This is the ultimate wine tour for people that really want to experience the best hidden gems in the Swan Valley.

The day is set at a relaxed pace so that we have plenty of time for questions and discussion at the wineries and with your fellow wine lovers.

My husband and I had a great day out on this tour. Paul was a terrific guide. We started off at Olive Farm Wines where we had a very interesting wine tour followed by wine tasting. Then it was lunch next door and we enjoyed a delicious platter and a glass of wine. More wineries and chocolate tastings followed at other venues. We had time up our sleeves so Paul took us to Kings Park - something we wanted to see in Perth but didnt schedule. The small group tour was personalised and I highly recommend this tour and the company.
