Cotopaxi Bikes

The tour in the Cotopaxi National Park begins with the spectacular views of the unique Andean landscapes in the so called Volcanoes Avenue. Inside the National Park, we hike up to the refuge, located at 4810 m (15780 ft) on the Cotopaxi snowline. Depending on conditions, we will then hike up to 5,000 m (16404 ft) where it is possible to see the glacier. Then, we will have a short safety briefing before our descent on mountain bikes! There are two sections to the mountain biking, the first one is only recommended to experienced riders. The journey finishes at the beautiful lagoon called Limpiopungo at the base of Cotopaxi Volcano. This tour height is 4,810 m (15780 ft) so, it is important you are prepared for this kind of altitude. We recommend acclimatizing at least two days around 3,000 m (9842 ft).
