Diego was our tour guide on this tour and on the tour to Mindo forest. He is a great guide who tries to tailor the tour to your interests. He was very punctual. Very satisfied.
The weather cleared just in time for going down to the laguna. Very good visit to a local family. The guide was knowledgable about culture and volcanos.
We booked this tour while we were in Quito, a spur of the moment choice, we were concerned about the duration. What we found, however, was that the scenery on the drive was fascinating, the stop off to meet an Andean Indian family was most interesting too. When we arrived at Quilotoa our guide, Daniel, who was excellent, had us close our eyes and make our way to the overlook then open them to get the full effect of the view, which was amazing. The trail down to the crater lake is strenuous so I opted to ride down on a mule, and back up on a horse, both quite exciting and cost 10 each way. I have to say the excursion was one of the high spots of our visit to the Beautiful country of Ecuador
This tour was amazing and our tour guide Alfonso gave us all the information we needed.
