St. Isaac's Cathedral is a stunning monument of architecture. Inside more beautiful than outside, the grand cathedral never fails to impress. Constructes to serve to the fame of Russia, it's the 4th largest church on the world.

We flew to St. Petersburg for a day during a week-long trip to Moscow for the World Cup. Our tour guide, Dasha, was very competent and knew her history. She also spoke perfect English, which was very helpful. We did the all day tour which included Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, lunch and ended at the Hermitage Museum. There was a lot of walking, but we were driven to each location by minivan. The Hermitage Museum is huge, like the Louvre, so there is a lot to see in just a few hours. My only complaint was that we did not get dropped off at our pick up location (across from the airport), but instead had to take a taxi back to the airport. With the World Cup traffic (there was a game in St. Petersburg that day) and a sudden downpour, we barely made it back to the airport in time for our return flight to Moscow. Other than that small inconvenience, the tour was very informative and covered all the sites one would want to see while visiting St. Petersburg.

Whistle stop tour in a car with driver and guide. We got to see lots and it was a grea5 way to get an appreciate for the city. The guide was excellent and we had lots of stops for photo opportunities
