Visit the former summer residence of the Russian tsars and discover one of the most impressive palace complexes of the imperial age on a guided tour of Peterhof Palace and parks. Follow in the footsteps of Peter the Great and other imperial rulers as you admire the splendid stucco work and gilded carvings of the palace complex.

Learn more about Peter the Great and the monument he built in the early 18th century to celebrate the Russian victory over Sweden. Admire the lavish decorations of the Great Palace, including the Baroque and Neo-Classical decorations from the time of Catherine the Great.

The guide was knowledgeable. The palace was nice. The tour was a bit rushed, probably because there are a lot of tourists. I wished there was more time to roam around the garden and the fountain area. The garden would be nice during autumn/winter.

We had a very enjoyable day at the Peterhof. The car that collected us from our hotel was in good condition and the driver drove very safely both to and from the venue. Our guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about the both Peterhof and St Petersburg in general. The Peterhof itself was very impressive and even better than it looks in the photos. There is plenty to see and a half day makes for a bit of a rushed visit, perhaps more so in our case as the trip was cut short as the driver had to be back by a certain time. Apart from this slight disappointment we had a very good day. We booked this very last minute and this maybe why the driver had a deadline. A tour of the Peterhof should definitely be on your agenda during a visit to St Petersburg.
