Artisan Village & Sculpture Park Tour

Join us on our Artisan Village & Sculpture Park Tour for a relaxing day visiting and shopping around the artisan village of Los Dominicos, followed by a walk through the Sculpture Park, open air museum in Providencia. The quaint handicraft village Los Dominicos is built right next to a picturesque church, called La Iglesia San Vicente Ferrer, which is a national monument. The village counts with about 50 local shops, all made from mud & straw with a great variety of crafts. The local artisans work with natural materials such a leader, wood, straw and semi-precious stones as silver and lapis lazuli. This artisanal market is by farthe best spot in all of Santiago to find all of your souvenirs. Did you know that Chile is one of the 11 countries where the beautiful stone, lapis lazuli is found? We then finish our tour with a walk through the green calmness of Parque de Las Esculturas, in the middle of the city and edging the Mapocho river. We will admire the roughly 30 sculptures made by Chilean artists and we will discuss the unique history behind them. After the tour you can sit on a bench or relax in the grass like the Chileans do! You will be picked up at 10.00 and returned by 16.00 max to your hotel.
