Museum Kimchikan
When it comes to South Korean food, one of the first things that pop into people’s minds is kimchi! This ubiquitous South Korean staple is famously loved all over the world, and remains one of the locals’ favorite foods. It’s no wonder that they have a museum dedicated to it! The Museum Kimchikan is the second generation of Pulmuone Kimchi Museum which had opened in 1986 and visitors from all over the world flock to it to discover the wonders of kimchi. Visitors will be able to watch a KBS documentary film about kimchi and learn about its long and decorated history and footprint in South Korean culture. There is a refigeration room where you can discover the varieties of kimchi found all around the world. You’ll even be able to get a taste in the Tasting Room! Among the experiences offered in the museum is an opportunity to make and taste your own authentic kimchi, which you’ll certianly want to try after learning all about it! Get a true taste of South Korean kimchi in this wonderful museum!
