This tour was a wonderful look at a part of Shanghai that seems to be fast disappearing, and our guide Annie was the perfect narrator for our journey. In addition to introducing us to delicious local breakfast items, she took us through the side streets and alleyways and shared details about what life is like for its residents. As that morning's tour included just my friend and me, it felt extra special as we could ask as many questions as we wanted without feeling like we might monopolize her time!
