The wait time was horrible, they allowed people to save seats for other people (which left us out in the rain), the map I was given was wrong, I don't know, just really confusing and frustrating.
We were disappointed. One of the narrators was top notch. Was excited about what she was telling us and was engaging. The other ones, when there was one were monotone and boring. Need more staff. Bus driver selling tickets delaying the ride.. Only two of the buses we road were air conditioned. However the bus does get you to the sites.
We found the trips tour guides to be in formative and friendly! Did find one to be a bit pushy about receiving a tip to the point where she passed around a bag for tips!! The journey is designed to show as many of the major sites possible and the route was spot on!! Could find at the most popular sites to re-board may incur a long wait if the bus fills up!
with the exception of a few of the drivers and guides the whole experience was terrible. We have used the big bus tour in multiple places and have always been pleased, this was a disappointment.
Great routes. Bus brochure easy to understand and very helpful. All employees helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. I would use BigBus in the future at other destinations where they provide service
The Big Bus was convenient and informative. However, I felt it was way over priced for one day when we only made it to 4 museums. Guess we should have walked .... cheaper to take an Uber.
Very organized and on point. Easy to find stops and directions were good. Funny and friendly staff. Thanks
Tour was good....but the heat made it difficult. Wish the bus had air conditioning. Tour guides were informative.
The Big Bus tour is a great way to get a quick introduction to the many great sites in Washington DC. There are three major routes covering the most popular attractions in DC. Each bus has a live narrator who describes major sites along the route. There are designated stops along the route to allow passengers to disembark to investigate a site in depth, and to pick up passengers who want to continue along the bus route. My recent trip took place during Memorial Day Weekend. Tourism and traffic was so heavy that the 3 Big Bus routes were combined into a purple route and re-routed to avoid the heavy crowds at the National Mall. The Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour is a relaxing way to see DC.
