Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon-Bago-Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda

Stop At: Kyaly Khat Wai Monastery, Bago Myanmar
We stop at Kyal Khat Wine learning monastery to learn about daily life of the burmese monks
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Shwemawdaw Paya, Bago Myanmar
Experience the tallest pagoda in Myanmar and learn the history of the famous Shwemawdaw Pagoda.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Shwethalyaung Buddha, Bago Myanmar
Visit to 55 meters long ancient reclining buddha image in Bago.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Kyaik Pun Pagoda, Bago, Myanmar (Burma)
Take a photo stop at Four Giant Buddha images sitting back to back.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: နန်ဨကရာဇ်မန်တမၠာ Kanbawza Thadi Golden Palace, Bago, Myanmar (Burma)
The excavation site and restoration work of Kanbawzathadi golden palace, the palace of famous King Bayinnaung.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, Kin Pun Myanmar
You will be transfer to the pagoda by open air truck around 45 minnutes. After hotel check in, witness the golden rock Kyaiktiyo pagoda which is strangely situated on the verge of the mountain rock. Experience the beautiful sunset of the Golden Rock.

Overnight on the mountain resort.
Duration: 1 hour

Accommodation included: Overnight at Kyaikhto hotel or Mountain Top hotel near Golden Rock on the mountain.

Day 2: Kyaiktiyo - Yangon

Stop At: Kyaiktiyo, Kyaiktiyo, Mon State
Watch the sunrise of Kyaiktiyo Golden Rock pagoda, after breakfast you will be back to Kimpun base camp by truck.
After 3 hour drive, you will arrive to Yangon in the afternoon.
Duration: 3 hours

This is a great tour to get out and see some of the larger religious sites in Myanmar. Our guide and driver were very friendly and accommodating. The car was nice and clean. The overnight hotels at Golden Rock are somewhat small, but they are comfortable. The ride up to Golden Rock is fun! Be prepare for this to occupy almost two full days, but I suppose this varies depending on how long you want to spend at each site.
